Turns out that rechargeable batteries and the L293D motor controller really slowed things down. Added another battery pack, and with 12 volts the bot actually moves. No smoke coming out of the motors, so all is well….
Here i tested my bread boarded tank against a simulation of the trial.
Batteries almost ran out by the time the bot finally made it trough the obstacle course…Still WIP I guess.
..or rather what is left from a perfectly decent remote controlled tank!
Objectives: Build a robot that is capable of traversing across an obstacle course. The course is configurable to present at least 3 different routes. The Bot has to attempt crossing each of the 3 course setups. The winning Bot will be the one that has completed all 3 courses in the shortest time.
